Binders and exhibit tabs for law firms
A closing binder is the last physical artifact of a deal, and it gets judged the way the deal was: on execution. We manufacture closing sets, litigation binders, and custom index tabs on a bindery floor in Kent, Washington that has been doing precision paper work since 1919 — and unlike most of this industry, our tab pricing is on the page.
What we build for legal work
Closing and transaction binders. Turned-edge casemade binders with foil-stamped spines are the traditional closing format, and short runs are our specialty — a full-color casemade binder runs $15.50 each at 25 units and $14.75 at 50 on our published ladder, quantities the big converters price by phone or decline. Vinyl ring binders for working sets start at $15.95 at 25 units. Deal sets smaller than 25 are quoted per job, same business day.
Custom exhibit and index tabs. Printed both sides, mylar-reinforced, punched, and collated in set order, so a paralegal never assembles a bank by hand. Our published ladder for 5-tab sets:

Eight- and ten-tab banks are on the tabs page; custom banks run up to 12 tabs per set. Numbered exhibit sets, A–Z banks, and firm-standard division sets are all ordinary work.
Firm-branded stock. Many firms keep a standing spec — house binder in firm colors, foil-stamped mark, standard tab banks — and reorder against it. We keep the artwork, dies, and screens on file, so a reorder is one email and the 10-business-day clock.
Why firms order from a bindery
Most legal binder suppliers are resellers; the tab printing, the foil work, and the casemaking happen somewhere else, on someone else’s schedule. Here they happen on one floor. That matters twice: when a closing moves up and the set has to ship this week, and when opposing counsel’s copy has to match yours exactly.
West Coast production is the other half. Nearly every national binder converter ships from the Midwest or East Coast; a Seattle, Portland, or Bay Area firm pays their freight and their transit days. Kent is one truck day from all three.
