Wholesale binders and tabs for printers and resellers

Puget Bindery has been a trade bindery since 1919. Printers have been sending us work they don’t run in-house for a century, and binders and tabs are the same relationship: you hold the account, we hold the equipment, and the customer never learns our name. Binder Makers is that shop with its price list on the page.

What we build for the trade

Custom binders. Vinyl, turned-edge casemade, entrapment, and poly, letter size, in runs from 25 pieces up. Twenty-five is a real minimum, not a courtesy — a promo distributor closing a 40-piece onboarding kit gets the same floor as a 2,500-piece national rollout. Setup is $0 and the proof is a free PDF, so a job you quote and lose costs you nothing but the quote. One caveat before you build a customer quote: entrapment and poly prices are confirmed in writing before production — check with us first on those two.

Custom index tabs. Printed both sides, mylar-reinforced, three-hole punched with reinforced holes, collated in set order and ready to drop into a binder. Five-, eight-, and ten-tab banks price on the tabs page from 25 sets up. Most printers who resell binders farm tabs to a second vendor and eat the second freight leg; here it’s one PO, one carton, one delivery date.

Folders and hospitality. Nine-by-twelve two-pocket presentation folders start at 100 pieces, and the hospitality line — menu covers, guest directories, check presenters — resells the same way. The whole catalog is available to the trade. Nothing in it is direct-only.

The price you sell against

Our published prices are list. They exist so you have a defensible number in front of a customer and so nobody has to wait on a phone call to build a proposal. This is the vinyl ladder, 1” round ring, one-color screen print or one-location foil:

QuantityPer binder
25+$15.95
50+$14.95
100+$12.75
250+$10.75
500+$9.95
1000+$9.65

Registered trade accounts price below list. We don’t publish the number — ask, and you’ll have it before you quote. Ring sizes, D-rings, and the other binder styles are on the binders page; anything off the ladder comes back as a quote within business hours.

How we protect the account

True blind ship. No Binder Makers or Puget marking on the carton, the label, or the packing list. Tell us what the packing slip should say — your company name, your PO number, your job number — and that’s what prints. The customer opens a box from you.

Your customers stay yours. We do not market to accounts introduced through a reseller. Not a newsletter, not a follow-up, not a year later when the reorder is due. That rule is why printers have kept sending us work since 1919, and it is not negotiable on our end.

Artwork, dies, and screens on file. Once a job runs, the files stay ready. A reorder is one email — spec, quantity, ship-to — and the 10-business-day clock starts. You are not re-collecting logos from a client who changed marketing directors.

Freight and schedule

Nearly every national custom binder plant ships from the Midwest or the East Coast. If your customer is in Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, or the Bay Area, that’s freight you mark up and transit days you can’t recover. Kent is a truck day from all of those markets.

Standard turnaround is 10 business days from proof approval. Overruns and underruns run +/- 10% and invoice as shipped, which is the trade standard — build your quote on the ordered quantity and reconcile on the invoice.

How to order

Trade terms and the full program are on the trade page. Standard specs price instantly on the order page: pick the product, quantity, and ring size and the ladder price is on screen. Off-ladder specs — odd sizes, multi-color screens, second foil locations, tab banks past ten — submit as a quote request from the same form and come back within business hours. File prep specs are on the artwork page, and the FAQ covers proofs, punching, and freight. Note your trade account on the first order for reseller pricing, and give us the blind-ship details — label, packing-slip language, ship-to — with each job.
